Beta Terms

Effective October 26, 2026. By joining the TAC beta, you agree to these terms and our Beta Privacy Notice.

1. What TAC is

  • TAC is an AI guide for communication, relationships and personal growth. You're talking with an AI, not a person, and TAC will always say so if you ask.
  • TAC can be wrong. Its suggestions are ideas for you to weigh, not instructions. You decide what to say and do.
  • TAC isn't therapy, medical or health care, or legal or financial advice.
  • TAC never sends messages for you. Anything it drafts goes nowhere unless you send it yourself.

2. If you're in crisis

TAC isn't an emergency service, and no one at TAC watches conversations as they happen. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you're thinking about suicide or self-harm, call or text 988. Our crisis page explains how TAC responds: theanchoredcompass.com/crisis.

3. Who can join

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • The beta is invite-only. Don't share your sign-in or let anyone else use your account.
  • The beta is free. We don't collect any payment during it.

4. This is a test system

This is a test system; your data may be reset or deleted; don't share anything you wouldn't want stored in a test.

  • Features may change, break or be removed while we test.
  • Before a planned reset or the end of the beta, we'll tell you and give you a way to download your conversations.
  • Beta accounts and history don't carry over to the launch version automatically.

5. Using TAC fairly

  • Don't use TAC to harass, threaten, stalk, deceive, pressure or get back at anyone, or to monitor a partner without their knowledge.
  • Don't use TAC for anything illegal.
  • Share other people's information only as much as TAC needs to help you.
  • Don't try to break TAC's safety features, get around usage limits, or access anyone else's data.
  • TAC has a daily usage limit per tester to keep costs under control.

6. Your content and feedback

  • What you share stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run TAC for you, as the Beta Privacy Notice explains.
  • If you send feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve TAC without owing you anything.
  • We'll add examples from your conversations to TAC's tests only if you give separate permission.

7. Ending your participation

You can stop anytime and delete your account. We may end the beta, or your access, at any time. If we end your access for a reason other than a break of these terms, we'll give you a chance to download your conversations first.

8. No guarantees

The beta is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for decisions you make based on TAC's suggestions, or for losses from the beta being unavailable or losing data.

9. Changes, law and contact

  • We'll tell testers before these terms change.
  • Minnesota law governs these terms, except where the law where you live gives you rights that can't be waived.
  • Questions: [email protected].
